And I love coffee, this is my setup. Post yours!

I don't drink coffee often, Soooo.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 21:47 |

Only on the weekends
![]() 10/30/2014 at 21:48 |

If I'm not in a hurry I use a press. Otherwise it's instant for me.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 21:48 |

We got a French press and a cheap bean grinder that works great. No sr20 though lol

Just like mine...........seven days a week.

I have a run of the mill Keurig with the refillable baskets and a ghetto proctor silex grinder. It makes good coffee. So WTF is that you have there?

My setup

I got one of those at home. It's black though.

Here's a pic. College res is cramped.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 21:57 |
|
NO I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM!
![]() 10/30/2014 at 21:58 |
|
I got one of those. Initially I was all "KEURIG ALL THE THINGS!!!!," then I got bored.

Hot apple cider. Hot water dispenser for soups and etc. It works in more ways than just coffee.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:00 |
|
Well yeah. I was all over that one hot chocolate K-cup that it came with!
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:21 |
|
Same here. Minimalism for the win!
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:24 |
|
I love coffee! I mostly use Hario pour over after grinding with my Baratza Vario.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:24 |
|
Indeed :) But if I'm honest it's because I like doing stuff the old way(ish)... Same reason I shave with a straight razor :P
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:35 |
|
Keurig here too. Easy to clean, and convenient.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:42 |
|
I still grind it and steam it myself. And I make drip coffee twice a year. All in a hide-away cabinet.
That Krups is over 16 years old.

Tea? Head to the Indian/Pakistani grocery for some Lipton (yes, THAT Lipton) Yellow Label. Pull it off just before boil and a 6 minute steep.
People who claim to not like tea love my tea.

I'm too embarrassed to show you my $99 Target special espresso maker
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:45 |
|
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:45 |
|
I thought there is also a benefit to that method. Doesn't it make the best cup of coffee possible?
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:47 |
|
Gotta have my JDM Hario grinder and the Aeropress (not my photo). Just make sure to secure the cap or it won't be caffeine that'll be greeting you...
Fun fact: Operating that coffee grinder generates more torque than the average Honda engine.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:49 |
|
I happen to think so yes, but I'm sure there's plenty of baristi that won't agree.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:52 |
|
I don't have one but always hear it's the way to go if you're willing to spend extra time to get the perfect mug
Looks cool too
I should get one. I stopped using my coffee maker almost a year ago cause I would always make too much, then drink it all. I switched to an espresso machine because it was easier to control my intake that way
![]() 10/30/2014 at 22:56 |
|
The way I see is like this, I NEED my coffee in the morning so I might as well spend some time and make it proper, it'll also make sure I'm up early enough as to not be late. Life's to short to drink shitty coffee/beer/wine/whatever :)
![]() 10/30/2014 at 23:00 |
|
Exactly! We might die tomorrow. So may as well drink good stuff
I like mornings too. I never cook lunch or dinner. But I like taking my time in the morning to make a good breakfast. It's a relaxing ritual.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 23:08 |
|
Exactly, that's why I shave with a straight razor, sure it does take me longer but it's just a nice ritual.
That said, I'm Norwegian, and the only people who drink more coffee than us are the Finns (suomalaiset) so I guess I drink 5-10 cups each day :P
![]() 10/30/2014 at 23:23 |
|
Hahaha I can only imagine how much coffee you northern europeans drink
I already like the taste and caffeine. If it was freezing cold I would drink it 24/7

Hamilton Beach 48134 "Aroma Express" 5-cup coffee maker with gold reusable filter basket.
4 years old and still runs like new.

Cold? It's not cold here, hardly ever below 0 celsius in october and that's like t-shirt weather man ;)
![]() 10/30/2014 at 23:31 |
|
hahahaha
50 degrees F is cold here in so cal, lol
![]() 10/30/2014 at 23:35 |
|
Heh, well 10 degrees C (50 F) is what we've been having the last few days, way to warm in the winter here. That said, 32C (89F) is not uncommon in the summer, neither is -32C (-26F) in the winter.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 23:40 |
|
wow i didn't know it could get that warm there in the summer
![]() 10/30/2014 at 23:52 |
|
Normally we have 22-25C(71-77F) in the summer in my town, this summer though it was VERY hot, peaked out at 50C (122F) in the sun in my backyard (concrete walls and shit, stores heat like a motherfucker. Mind you, the air temp was 33C or something down by the lake at that time). Few years ago it was -37C(-35F) in the same backyard in the middle of winter, Want to experience a huge difference in temperatures and weather? Visist eastern Norway ;p

I shave with a safety razor for the same reason. Working my way up to a straight blade! I'm somewhat of a classicist. Perhaps explains why I'm scared of automatic transmissions, turbos, and AWD :/
![]() 10/31/2014 at 00:25 |
|
AWD is perhaps almost as old as the automobile itself though :)

wilder swings are becoming normal everywhere. It's not good. Higher highs and lower lows :P

Why only on weekends?

That's incredible!

Interesting. I still feel rear wheel drive + manual transmission fits more neatly into my old school mindset.
![]() 10/31/2014 at 12:31 |

Haha ok here ya go

I have Keurig, but I use a Bunn daily. Coffee is dunn in 2-3 minutes max!
